Workshop on Conservation of Cultural Heritage - Photographic Identification and Preservation -
We are pleased to host a three-day workshop “Workshop on Conservation of Cultural Heritage - Photographic Identification and Preservation -” at the Tokyo National Research Institute for Cultural Properties (Tobunken), lectured by Gwenola Furic, a specialist of photographic conservation and restoration from France ( spoken in English with consecutive interpretation in Japanese). The program will be provided to professionals involved in the management and conservation of photographic collections to deepen understanding of diverse photographic techniques and materials, and to learn about photographic identification, diagnosis of deterioration, enclosures and preservation.
This is a full-day program with lectures in the morning and practical training in the afternoon.
If the maximum number of participants is exceeded (90 people for the morning session, and 24 people for the afternoon session), participants will be selected based on the information provided in the application form. We hope that participants will share the knowledge and skills they acquired with others in their fields of expertise and contribute to the spread of photographic preservation.
Please complete and submit the registration form, if anyone would like to attend this program. (Application deadline: 20th August 2024)
