Reusable general-purpose crate aimed at sustainability in transporting artworks
In cooperation with the National Art Research Center, the National Museum of Western Art and Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. jointly developed a reusable general-purpose crate. This is an initiative aimed at sustainability in the transportation of artworks at museums.
This crate is currently on display at the National Museum of Western Art's permanent exhibition.
This same type of crate will be used when lending works from the National Museum of Western Art in the 2024 National Museum of Art Collection Plus.
It can be fixed internally according to the size of the work, so it can be used repeatedly for various works.
