Art Cards

The National Museum of Art “Art Cards” are educational materials designed to foster the capacity to view, experience, and communicate through works of art. The set consists of 65 works of art carefully selected from the National Museum of Art collections to foster lively conversation. These versatile cards can be used not only in classrooms, but also in various settings such as business training sessions.

How to Use

The Art Cards hold a small booklet to guide how to play with them and describes the artworks, so anyone can easily start! The booklet is available in Japanese.

Where to Rent or Purchase

The Art Cards is sold at the Museum Shops listed below. To support children’s education, we also provide The Art Cards for free for teachers to use at school.

Online Toolbox for
Enjoying Museum Collections

This digital tool is designed to utilize artworks from the National Museum of Art in elementary to high school classes. It enables the projection of high-definition images of works on electronic blackboards, distribution to tablets, and creation of worksheets for classroom use. The website is in Japanese.
