Digital Creative Project Report: Video Production Support for the Rodin 3D Model Encyclopedia at the National Museum of Western Art

FY2025 Digital Creative Project: video production support for the National Museum of Western Art’s “Rodin 3D Model Encyclopedia”
The videos were produced for the following categories: “My Favorite Rodin Work ” (four videos), featuring interviews with prominent figures; “Stories of Rodin and His Sculptures” (five videos), in which experts provide commentary; and “Rodin, Matsukata , and the National Museum of Western Art” (one video), which explores the history of the Rodin sculpture collection within the Matsukata Collection, the collection that formed the foundation of the National Museum of Western Art. NCAR was responsible for each step in the creation of these videos, including planning, filming, editing, sound design, title design, and mastering. Since being posted on April 8, 2025, the videos have reached a wide audience. They are available at the following links.

(In addition to the videos mentioned above, NCAR also supported the production of a promotional video for the crowdfunding campaign, as well as documentary footage showing the 3D scanning process.)
About the Digital Creative Project
The NCAR promotes production support initiatives focused on using digital techniques to enhance the art-viewing experience, including 3DCG, VR, and video content at institutions run by the National Museum of Art. In parallel with these activities, NCAR conducts research into the demand for digital content at museums and advances the research and development of new digital content utilizing emerging technologies such as AI.
