Restoration of Canvas Painting

We are pleased to invite Mr. WATANABE Ikuo and Ms. Kate SEYMOUR, both of whom have been involved in the restoration of canvas paintings in Japan and Europe for over 20 years and have conducted extensive research into materials and techniques, for the lecture “Restoration of Canvas Painting” at the Tokyo National Research Institute for Cultural Properties on October 31, 2026.

The program is entirely conducted in Japanese except the presentation by Ms. Kate SEYMOUR. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided (Japanese-English).
