We’re sharing a behind-the-scenes talk about “Art for Small Children: Art Appreciation with Picture Books”

The National Museum of Art, Osaka has been running a program called “Art Tour Series,” an educational program designed to help children of various ages experience art museums and appreciate artworks. This issue features two programs: “Art for Small Children: Art Appreciation with Picture Books”, which welcomes pre-school children starting from age 0, and “Art for Small Children: Art Appreciation with Picture Books” ~collaboration with Comekko~, a special session aimed at fostering sign language in children, held in collaboration with the NPO Comekko (Specified NPO: Sign Language Acquisition Research Institute).

We spoke with Yuko Fujiyoshi, who has been involved in planning and implementing this program for many years, about her approach and the values she emphasizes in its execution.

The video is recorded in Japanese (no subtitles in English).
