Social Story
“Social Story: My First Art Museum Visit” is a museum guide primarily for persons with developmental disabilities and those who support them. It provides clear and easy-to-understand explanations to help people with developmental disabilities, first-time museum visitors, and anyone who may feel anxious about visiting feel comfortable and enjoy their time at the museum.

Three Key Points
1. Easy to understand by visual images!
You can understand the steps from entering to leaving the museum by actual images and icons.
2. Easy to read with plain text!
We put “furigana” on all Chinese characters, so it can be easily read. We also avoid using difficult words and complex terms, but use positive and plain expressions.
3. Using “I” or “We” for the subject.
The subject is mostly in the first-person expression, so the readers can become proactive. There is no second-person expression to prevent the terms from becoming imperative.
